How Can severe Anal Pain Along With Loose Stools be Treated?

A few days ago I was suffering from very loose stools due to the flu. This led to a lot of straining. The next day I woke up to the most extreme pain inside my ânus. When I press externally it feels like the muscle might be swollen and it is lumpy, it s very painful and I can barely concentrate. I m embarassed to go to the doctor so I am hoping it might go on its own as just a muscle strain? Warm baths are the only relief for a short time then the pain is back. I struggle to stand, sit, walk or visit the toilet 3 days later :(
